Usage Instructions:  It is coated with lithium heparin on the interior of the tube wall to inhibit clotting. The anticoagulant heparin activates anti-thrombins, thus blocking the coagulation cascade and producing a whole blood/plasma sample instead of clotted blood plus serum. Invert tube 8~10 times once blood specimen is collected. Plasma obtained in sodium heparin tube should be removed from the tube within 2 hours after blood collection.
